The countryside in this area has been compared to the Dordogne region of France, but once you've visited Hamswell, you'll agree that this is a ridiculaous comparison, France has nothing to show more fair . . . And of course the Anglo-Chinese cuisine knocks spots off the Francais

ONE-DAY COURSES FOR MORE EXPERIENCED UPHOLSTERERS AT
Continue to improve your upholstery skills at delightful Hamswell Farm. Workshop location: Hamswell, Bath Teresa Wharton hosts these courses in a lovely, restored barn close to the house. Nicky will be on hand to guide you through all the upholstery skills needed to complete your project, whatever you choose to bring. Except for top cover, all the materials you need are provided at cost. Tools required are available to borrow for the course duration, but do bring any you have. Refreshments and lunch are provided as part of the course fee.
ONE-DAY COURSES FOR BEGINNERS AT
Learn Furniture Upholstery Workshop location: The Makery, Bath NB - at present the Makery are not offering upholstery courses, but please contact them directly if you wish to book another, creative course This popular furniture upholstery workshop at The Makery in Bath will give you an introduction to upholstery techniques, to revive tired furniture with beautiful fabrics. Nicky will guide you through the upholstery process. You’ll need to bring along one small, portable piece of furniture to upholster; a dining chair, ottoman or stool are all perfect. Please don't bring anything too large as we have limited time & want you to get as much done as possible in your introduction to Upholstery workshop!
You will also need to bring a piece of fabric to upholstery with. Please call/email if you have any questions about what to bring. We strongly advise you to strip down your furniture of existing fabric prior to the workshop to maximise your time here and ensure your best chance of finishing your project. Please be aware that not all people finish on the day though - it really depends on the furniture you choose to bring.
